Health Education

RUCNET clinics do not only provide comfort and healing to our clients, they take great strides in providing public health education. Public health entails organizing people in activities to improve their own health and the health of their communities. The Clinics design and implement programs such as water purification and conservation, sanitation, waste disposal and infection control to improve the lives of the residents.

We provide the following health education programs in our communities:

  • Identify health problems and other threats to life and longevity.
  • Mobilize and sustain resources for emergency medical services.
  • Provide continuous education for health care workers.
  • Engage parents to implement child safety  measures.
  • Teach sex education to the youth.
  • Institute health and wellness programs.
  • Organize alcohol and drug abuse awareness programs.
  • Implement HIV/AIDS and others sexually transmitted infections (STI) or disease prevention programs.
  • Promote food safety and proper nutrition.
  • Advocate the benefits of breastfeeding.
  • Implement appropriate treatments for common diseases and injuries.
  • Train EMS personnel to augment the strength of community healthcare providers in providing pre-hospital care.
  • Teach safe motherhood, reproductive health and provide marriage counseling in the community.
  • Provide immunizations  for children.
  • Provide mental health in the community.
  • Others.
